Days go by
March 16, 2009
More like months. Lots of ‘em. Last update to this blog was from the latter part of October, a lot has happened since then. Let’s see if we can keep this going for a while longer, at least until the domain expires.

October 26, 2008
Some dude has a huge movement to get Rick Astley to win the Best Act Ever award at the MTV European Music Awards. If you get the voting software you’ll automatically get entered into a drawing for a brand new iPod nano. GO VOTE!

The problem with games today
October 20, 2008
SOCOM: Confrontation was released last Thursday on the Playstation Network as a hugely anticipated exclusive game for the console. The SOCOM series puts you in the field as a Marine or Mercenary and tasks you with various objectives such as detonating the enemy base, rescuing hostages or just plain killing the other team. Being a hardcore SOCOM fan i bought it and downloaded it. Here’s what’s been happening with it since it was released.
Asshole Review 01: Little Big Planet
October 19, 2008
I recently got my hands (as did half of the world’s population) on a key to test out LBP, a bit more than 2 weeks away from the release date. Other than the fact that it should have come out on October 21st and was pushed back for a week because of some religious dude’s whining, the experience overall was pretty fucking sweet.

More than a month? NO WAY!
October 19, 2008
Holy crap, i haven’t updated this in over a month, i’m even afraid to look at the stats since they probably plumetted downwards worse than Michael Jackson’s career after Thriller. Oh well, gotta keep on keeping on.
That’s shopped, RIGHT?

These all look like they came straight outta /b/ on 4chan but they’re all real life. You won’t even believe how amazing this is, just click the pic for the article.

Resident Evil Activity Book
September 14, 2008
This is great. It will make even more sense if you’ve played the games but if you haven’t, it’s pretty much inspired on Highlights for Kids. Click the pic to see it in its full glory.

Slowness
September 14, 2008
For some reason, things have been moving rather slow these days, with no really big news to cover. A couple of updates are coming today though, so be tuned in for those, they’re gonna be worth it.
Aaaaaaaand, we’re back kids
September 10, 2008
After an awesome summer break i’m back so expect updates to start rolling in again. I did not add a single update since i left which is actually pretty weird, since i had access to the internet every day. Well, i was doing a bunch of other stuff so i didn’t really get around to it. I’m sure the 10 of you who read this were able to withstand the break
Before i leave, this is painful as hell
August 14, 2008
Olympic gold is glory. It takes guts, determination, skill and training. It also takes not dislocating your shoulder in an awful manner. That’s just what happened to Hungarian weightlifter Janos Baranyai, who’s shoulder gave in when he tried to lift 148 Kg. His injuries appear to be very serious. Be aware the video is hard to watch and he’s clearly in a world of pain.

Here’s the liveleak video, in case the embedded one (which is after the jump because it autoplays) doesn’t work for you.

Taking a break!
August 14, 2008
This is just a post to let you guys know i will be going out on vacation tomorrow, so the blog updates are probably going to be few and far between. I’m going home, so it’s not like i’m gonna move to a cave in Afghanistan but still, there are priorities and things that go before the blog while i’m home. Expect things to go regular again in a couple of weeks.
See you guys then!
The Dark Knight
August 12, 2008
You might know a little film that came out a few weeks back and has been highly succesful. That’s right, i’m talking about the new batman movie, “The Dark Knight”. I’m probably the only person on earth who hasn’t seen it but from what i’ve heard it should have been called “The Dark Joker”, mainly because Heath Ledger (R.I.P.) supposedly does an amazing job portraying his character.
Thing is, the movie is called “The Dark Knight” for a reason, and that reason ain’t The Joker. That’s why i think it’s best to pay tribute to the real star of the movie, Batman.
Don’t mess with the pelican
August 12, 2008
Pelicans are usually cool friendly birds but this one probably woke up on the wrong side of the lake that morning.
Dog Eat Dog? BIRD EAT BIRD, BITCH!

MIT Students crack subway card (PDF included!)
August 10, 2008
That’s right peeps, three students from MIT have been able to crack the Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority Fare Card, known as the Charlie Card to get free subway rides. This card is based on architecture used on various subway systems around the world, including the rail systems in Madrid and Rio de Janeiro. This was a remarkable work in research, social engineering and exploitation of vulnerabilities.
They were supposed to give a presentation at this year’s Defcon, which is a Hacking and Social Engineering conference held yearly in Las Vegas, but were promptly silenced by the MBTA in a poor attempt to stop the information from leaking. What the MBTA did not take into consideration is that bringing media coverage to their own ineptitude can only hurt them and that silencing knowledge is the opposite way to go; gagging three “kids” who found out how to crack the system will not help them solve the problem, considering their presentation is already on the internet and can be downloaded here. Be aware that it is extremely technical stuff and lacks the open source tools the guys developed to get the job done but it’s still a good read.
As i’ve always said, if it’s made by man it can be hacked. There is no uncrackable lock, protection or system, we’re all humans after all.
PD: I know i suck at photoshop, give me a break
